Dental bridges replace missing teeth by using neighbouring teeth as anchors for replacement teeth.
Dental bridges can replace one or more missing teeth and there are different types depending on your needs, including:
Bridges can be made of different materials but this usually includes porcelain, gold and metal, depending on the preference of the patient.
The dentist will numb the area beforehand with an anaesthetic. Once this is done they will prepare the teeth by shaving a small portion away to allow for the crown to be fitted and bridge to be made. Impressions will be made of the teeth before a personal dental crown is made. During your second appointment your crowns and bridge will be fitted and cemented into place.
All crowns and bridges are selected to suit your smile and face perfectly, with a large range of colours available for you to choose from.
If you maintain good oral hygiene and health you can expect your bridge to last between 10-15 years.
