Bridges

Dental bridges can replace one or more missing teeth and there are different types depending on your needs, including:

• Traditional fixed bridge - This type of bridge uses two porcelain crowns, which sit on either side of the gap as an anchor to hold the new false teeth in place.
• Cantilever bridge - If there is only one tooth able to support a bridge a cantilever bridge is used. The crown will be anchored to one or more teeth on only one side of the gap.
• Maryland bridge - This type of bridge is used in the replacement of front tooth gaps and when the two teeth on either side are healthy. A plastic tooth fitted to metal bands is used and banded to the back of the healthy teeth on either side of the gap.
